What I know about film editing

Right now I know how to cut and put together different shots and how to cut sound tracks. I can add simple transitions and music on the background. I have edited simple short films with little effects. I can also add titles and credits.

Also, I know different types of shots, camera angles and movements.

What I need to know

I should learn more complex film editing, how to use transitions and efficient cuts. Also, I should develop my understanding and usage of sound in films. I need to learn about color correction and practice it. For my film opening I should also learn how to use After Effects in order to be prepared to include special effects in my project if needed. And one technique I want to learn is compositing/overlays of different shots.
