Story and Plot

STORY

The bonds between friends can sometimes be the only things bringing us back to reality. Aletta is one of the people who forget that they are not alone, she tries to struggle with all her problems on her own, even with a large group of friends there to help here. But even in her darkest moments, she is brought back to light by those closest to her.

PLOT

Aletta and Victor arrive at a friend's house for one of their usual parties with their group of friends. They begin talking and listening to music, but Aletta sits on the side, not really engaging in conversation or feeling up for the party. One of her friends, Nora, tries to include her in conversation and make her feel better.

Once everyone starts dancing Aletta still feels lost and broken off from the party, she goes up to and stares blankly at the speaker. The loud music makes her go deeper and deeper into her mind and she wakes up in a desolate forest that represents the emptiness and loneliness she feels. In this forest she has to deal with her thoughts and struggles alone, she is lost and confused.

Her boyfriend, Victor, manages to break through her trance by hugging her, bringing her back to reality, the party. But now, the audience see Nora being held by Victor and the scene seems different. This swtich symbolizes how Nora has experienced, and felt everything that Aletta has, empathizing with her friend fully. Now, Aletta comes to Nora, hugging her and asking her if she's alright, mirroring the opening scene where Nora hugs Aletta.
